The Course

In this 12-week course, we will explore the profound teachings of Mahamudra, also known as the “The Great Seal," offering a direct path to realizing the nature of mind, guiding practitioners through deep levels of insight into the true nature of reality.

The Four Yogas of Mahamudra provide a structured progression of meditative development, leading from focused attention to the culmination of non-dual awareness and complete liberation. These teachings come from the Kagyu lineage but are accessible to anyone interested in deepening their practice, regardless of prior experience with Mahamudra. Each stage offers tools for calming the mind, overcoming habitual patterns, and realizing innate wisdom.

This engaging course offers a deep dive into the essence of meditation practices, symbolizing the progressive stages of realization: single-pointedness, simplicity, one-taste, and non-meditation. As we journey through these transformative stages, you'll learn to integrate powerful meditative techniques with daily life, heightening your awareness and fostering a more profound sense of inner peace.

Each week will focus on a key aspect of the Four Yogas of Mahamudra, with time for both meditation practice and discussion. Students will be guided through experiential exercises, and encouraged to maintain a daily meditation practice to support their understanding. Each session will include practical techniques, text-based study, and group reflection to deepen personal insight into the nature of mind and reality.

The Four Yogas of Mahamudra represent a sequential unfolding of realization, beginning with calming the mind and deepening concentration, and culminating in the effortless experience of non-dual awareness. The course will progressively build upon each yoga, offering clear guidance on each stage.
