Retreat Theme and Prerequisites


Mahamudra practice is considered to be the pinnacle of the Buddha’s teachings. The Buddha taught that all appearances, both suffering and freedom, manifest as inseparable from our minds, thus, when we directly encounter the wisdom of Mahamudra this will allow us to bring an end to our own suffering and to compassionately benefit others.



Retreat Schedule

The retreat daily schedule was one teaching session, several meditation sessions, and breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner breaks.


The retreat was offered online through zoom and in person at the MMC Retreat Center in Sarasota, FL from December 26th, 2018 - January 4th, 2019.

What Will I Learn and Benefits of This Teaching:

This Mahamudra retreat explores the nature of mind - thoughts, emotions, identity and consciousness itself. These instructions are the exact method used to gain liberation from suffering or enlightenment for the last several thousand years in the Buddhist tradition.


All are welcome although a minimum of one hour daily commitment to meditation is required for attendance.

About Lama Michael
