About the Retreat

Join us for “Embracing Compassion,” an online weekend retreat led by Lama Philip, focusing on Green Tara, a figure emblematic of enlightened activity and boundless compassion in Tibetan Buddhism. This retreat offers a profound journey into the heart of compassionate action, as embodied by Green Tara, to inspire and deepen your spiritual practice.

Retreat Highlights

• Enlightened Activity: Discover the essence of Green Tara’s enlightened activity—her instantaneous response to calls for help, embodying the active compassion that characterizes the Bodhisattva path. Lama Philip will elucidate how we can manifest these qualities in our own lives, engaging with the world in a way that is both compassionate and wise.

• Compassionate Living Workshops: Delve into the practical applications of Tara’s teachings, exploring how to integrate compassionate action into your daily life. This includes understanding the interplay between inner transformation and outward action, and how we can become agents of positive change in our communities and beyond.

• Guided Tara Meditation: Participate in guided meditation sessions that not only aim to connect with the energy of Green Tara but also cultivate the qualities of compassion, loving-kindness, and altruistic intention towards all beings.

• Mantra Recitation and Visualization: Learn the powerful Green Tara mantra and engage in visualization practices that are central to Tibetan Buddhist meditation. These practices are designed to purify negativities, overcome obstacles, and awaken the potential for enlightened activity within oneself.

• Interactive Q&A Sessions: Lama Philip will offer interactive Q&A sessions, providing participants with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Green Tara’s teachings and how to apply them in the context of modern challenges and personal spiritual growth.
