A Contemplative and Compassionate Journey
Over the past few years many people have felt worn down by anxiety, uncertainty and a constant pull on their attention. We watch our minds race, worry, react and exhaust themselves, yet often don’t know how to relate to experience differently.
This course is an invitation to pause and learn the classical Buddhist foundations of mindfulness in a clear, experiential and psychologically honest way.
For the first time, Lama Michael Gregory is offering his full 6-week introduction to mindfulness meditation as a free New Year gift, so anyone who feels called can begin (or begin again) without financial barrier.
This six week course offers a contemplative and deeply compassionate journey into observing how the mind creates, sustains, and reacts to its own experience. Guided by Buddhist teacher Lama Michael Gregory, this training introduces the classical foundations of Buddhist mindfulness. You will learn practices that illuminate how to watch your unfolding mental and emotional world with less reactivity, and how to respond with heart, skill and wisdom.
This program supports both practical emotional healing and the gradual unfolding toward inner awakening and genuine empowerment. It is not only an intellectual understanding of mindfulness, but a grounded meditative practice you can return to throughout your life.
For this New Year offering, enrollment is being offered completely free as a fully sponsored program. Regular tuition is 299 USD, but this round is offered at no cost in order to support sincere practitioners at this time.
Your free enrollment includes:
• Six detailed teachings on Mindfulness Meditation
• Six guided mindfulness meditations (one each week)
• Recorded HD video content for self paced learning
• Written materials, exercises, quizzes and reflections
• Downloadable notes, homework and meditations
• Optional weekly live meditation sessions

• A personal one on one session with Lama Michael for the first 100 registrants, or an extended live group Q&A session for later registrants
This Six Week Mindfulness Course offers a contemplative and compassionate journey into observing how your mind both creates and reacts to its own reality.
Drawing from the traditional foundations of mindfulness (Satipaṭṭhāna), Lama Michael will guide you to:
- See experience clearly in the domains of breathing, body, sensations, emotions, thoughts and mind itself
- Recognise the difference between what is happening and your relationship to what is happening
- Discover how to respond to life with more heart, skill and wisdom rather than unconscious reactivity
Mindfulness is presented here as a path of clear seeing and awakening, not just a relaxation technique or self-improvement project.
What We Will Explore
The course follows a classical Buddhist curriculum based on the Satipatthana Sutta, held within the heart centered, direct style of Lama Michael’s teaching:
- Mindfulness of Breathing : resting attention with the breath as a steady home base
- Mindfulness of the Body: experiencing the body as dynamic sensation rather than fixed identity.
- Mindfulness of Feeling Tone – seeing pleasant, unpleasant and neutral experience as the seed of reactivity.
- Mindfulness of the Mind – recognising the overall quality of mind: contracted, open, clear or clouded.
- Mindfulness of Mental Objects – understanding patterns like desire, ill-will, restlessness and doubt as processes that arise and pass.
- Mindfulness in Action – bringing clear comprehension into speaking, working and daily life.
Over six weeks you begin to move from automatic reaction toward a more stable and compassionate presence. These practices illuminate how experience is constructed and how wisdom and compassion arise from clear seeing rather than habit.

About The Teacher
Lama Michael Gregory is a Buddhist teacher whose training spans more than three decades across the Indo-Tibetan and Theravāda traditions. Beginning his studies in the early 1990s, he studied under many of the greatest meditation masters of Tibet, including HH The Dalai Lama, his root teacher from his teenage years- HH Penor Rinpoche, HH Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Lama Zopa Rinpoche His Eminence Gyaltsab Rinpoche, His Eminence Thrangu Rinpoche, and numerous yogic practitioners throughout the Indian Himalaya.
He received the three-year retreat empowerments directly from H.E. Gyaltsab Rinpoche and went on to complete many years of solitary and group retreat in the Indian and Tibetan Himalaya, and the jungle of Northern Thailand, and Burma. His practice includes extended training in Mahamudra, Dzogchen, the Six Yogas, dark-retreat methods, and classical training in Theravadin Vipassanā and Jhana. In early 2020, under the guidance of H.E. Thrangu Rinpoche, Lama Michael served as Retreat Master for the lineage’s final three-year retreat held in the mountains of Southern California, guiding and supporting practitioners through one of the most intensive cycles of traditional practice.
Today, Lama Michael oversees the Quiet Mind Wellness Centers and the Pemako Retreat Center just outside San Diego. He teaches weekly online and leads seasonal retreats, emphasizing direct experience, psychological clarity, and the unified contemplative heritage of India and Tibet.
He lives in the forested hills of Tuscany, near Florence, with his wife of ten years, two cats, and two dogs, dedicating his life to meditation practice, writing, retreat guidance, and the wellbeing of all students who seek a path of awakening grounded in wisdom, compassion, and the luminous nature of mind.
